How to Measure for a Bridal Gown

Measuring is really easy if you have some help.

Bust - wear an unpadded bra.  Using a tape measure, measure around your body at  the largest part of your bust, which should be about where your nipples are.

Waist - look in the mirror and see where the smallest part of your waist area is.  Measure around but dont pull it too tight so you have some breathing room.

Hips - measure around the largest part of your hips.  Dont pull too tight.

Height - you probably know what it is but barefooted, measure down the back from the top of your head to the floor.

Hollow to floor - this is from the base of the neck at the shoulders to the floor.  Measure on your front side.

Heel height - if you know what height of the heels you will be wearing, let me know.  Otherwise, we will make the dress based on a 3” heel.

On long sleeve dresses, also measure the following:

Around the arm at the biggest part, around the biceps or at the elbow.  Also measure the length of your arm from the shoulder to the wrist where it meets the hand.
